চরৈবতি (Sanskrit for Wanderer Spirit)

Hello there!

Firstly, thank you for taking few seconds off your life out for me, to read my scribbles, mostly written in and around the city, stuck in traffic jam at times, otherwise sipping beer at Harry’s.

I am a full-time professional. In Bangalore. In India. *Chuckles* I don’t have the luxury of working from home either. It is a tiring 12 hours work everyday, weekends are dedicated to cook food for the week or hosting friends.

Reason why I listed my ordeals is to give a context of my possible absence from blogging, if it may happen in future. But trust me to come back with increased zeal since this blog is my Loveslaborlost child, almost.

I work as a business analyst with an MNC, crunch numbers during daytime, and regret not starting with the blog back in MBA days at night, at home. I love Johnny Depp, Shahrukh Khan, Satyajit Ray, Uttam Kumar and Sayantan Sarkar. The latest in the list is the inspiration for this blog, in every way.

I have a young brother, and few more cousins who know about this endeavor. I am afraid my extended family, sans parents, would only criticize most of the travels I make, just for the fun of gossip. So took up the name Orange. I like Orange. I don’t have a wayfarer though. Lost my only sunglass in Arabian Sea half a year back.

I care about ethical way of traveling, a little for soceital prejudices or stigma, wish to explore way beyond what eyes see and noses sniff.

I am born and raised in Kolkata. Have stayed in Delhi and Bangalore for work/post graduation/ work again. Have been making short trips in and around for Bangalore past three years. Initially my fancy travel posts were limited to only Facebook with fancier captions. However, I realized it is wiser to blog them with my long cherished penchant for writing.

Following are the contents I will be blogging about:

  1. Travel, people I meet, the entire process of reservation/visa etc if I am traveling abroad
  2. Food
  3. More food
  4. Food that I cook at home, anything exotic/simple yet tasty
  5. Sarees (I have a thing for the 9 yard yarns, possess almost 50/60 pieces combined with my mother and Dida, maternal grandmother and Pishu, my dad’s sister)
  6. Kolkata, that’s my home city
  7. People I know, who have articulated this empty meagreness of life through art

I will need your critique even more than claps to improve contents and cater the best every time I take to post something, hope I keep up expectations.

So, there you go, happy blogging.
